Trade up in the round

If the Cardinals make this move it will likely be because their guy they want is still there but feel someone in front of them might snatch him up.  The Cardinals have said they draft for the best player available in the first round.

They may be able to get the best of both worlds in this case if they do move up.  I can’t see the Cardinals moving up to get Lynch or any other quarterback but I could see them moving up to get Kelly, maybe one of the two corners Apple or Alexander.  They could even decide to get a guy like linebacker Leonard Floyd from Georgia, although I’m not as sold on that idea right now.

Of course in past years I thought the Cardinals would trade up to get who they wanted and didn’t do so.  Staying put at 29 is the most likely scenario for the Cardinals but I would not rule out moving up several spots if the deal is right.  I just wouldn’t go putting money on it.
