The Arizona Cardinals select 29th in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft

As we have reached April, the 2016 NFL Draft is getting closer and closer.  The Arizona Cardinals select 29th in the first round.  We now have just four weeks until the big night in Chicago.

Here is a look at the draft profile of defensive end Kevin Dodd out of Clemson.  The Cardinals could still be in the market for a defensive end.

Weight: 273

Upside: Cbssports.com says he’s quick and has an ability to cut through gaps.  Of course, the Cardinals once again could be staring at a product out of Clemson, a school the Cardinals have found some success drafting out of.

Downside: He is known to be a one-trick pony.  He needs to be more creative in getting around his blockers.  Needs to learn how to convert speed into power.

What others are saying:

There have not been any rumblings of the Cardinals working him out.  Dodd did recently work out for the San Francisco 49ers. Fans seem to like what he brings to the table.  If he doesn’t get picked up in the late first round, he will more than likely be gone early in the second round.

Dodd has good size and is athletic.  The Cardinals would look good with a Kevin Dodd backing up Chandler Jones.
