6th round:

Harlan Miller, CB, SE Louisiana

Why he fits in Arizona: He quick and is known as a good tackler, something the Cardinals had difficulty doing in the 2015 playoffs.

Why he might not fit in Arizona: He is slower and although he is known to be aggressive, that has been known to get him into trouble.  Coach Bruce Arians wants his players to be able to be smart and not let a players over-aggressiveness be their downfall.

Grade: C.  He had a good show at the Senior Bowl but I have the sense the Cardinals may have missed out on better options with their last pick in the draft.  Being a cornerback probably got this guy selected.  I know fans would have liked to see someone like Arizona’s Scooby Wright taken in this spot but again we will trust what Keim and Arians are doing.  For now though, I say the jury is still out on Miller.

Overall the Cardinals had a nice draft.  They didn’t get the big names but it isn’t always about the name.  It is about the talent.  I like that the Cardinals addressed their needs.  However the concern by fans now is did they get the best players available with those needs?

Overall draft grade: B
