1. Patrick Peterson
Patrick Peterson turned things around with his health last season after fighting diabetes in 2014. While statistically his numbers were a bit better in 2014, realistically Peterson was sharper in 2015.
With eight passes defensed and two interceptions to go with his 35 tackles last season, Peterson now comes into his sixth season in the NFL to continue being the shut down corner fans have come to know and love.
Peterson comes into the season as the clear number one cornerback once again. The question is can he continue to be that way in 2016? We’ll see.
2. Mike Jenkins
Jenkins was just signed by the Cardinals this past week as a free agent. Jenkins enters his ninth season in the NFL. He spent the last two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Last season he played in 14 games, starting five.
The Cardinals will look to Jenkins to replace the departed Jerraud Powers. Jenkins comes in as a strong number two on the depth chart.
