1. A.Q. Shipley

Shipley enters this season basically where he started last season with the Cardinals, his first in the desert.  He is in a fight for the starting spot at center.

Training camp 2015 hopefully taught him a thing or two.  He was in competition for the starting center position after coming to Arizona as a free-agent with Ted Larsen.  Neither he or Larsen though could make it work so the Cardinals had to go back out and re-sign Lyle Sendlein.

Now Sendlein is gone and the job is Shipley’s to lose.  It might just happen again.

2. Evan Boehm

This was a great fourth-round pick for the Cardinals in the 2016 NFL Draft.  Out of Missouri, Boehm is thought to be a threat to win the starting center job, although right now Shipley is the clear number one.

What we do know though is Arians does not just give jobs away.  The players have to earn it no matter if you are a rookie or 10-year veteran.  Arians doesn’t play rookies a lot so if Boehm wins the center competition, you know he will have earned it.
