The Arizona Cardinals must cut down to 75 players by Tuesday afternoon
The current Arizona Cardinals roster holds 90 players. That must be cut down to 75 players by 1:00 p.m. Arizona time on Tuesday afternoon. Injuries may play a role in the roster cuts.
Cornerback Mike Jenkins could be possibly looking at a serious knee injury after being carted off on Sunday afternoon in the 34-24 loss to the Houston Texans. Running back Stepfan Taylor also left the game in the third quarter on Sunday with an apparent knee injury.
Jenkins appeared to have the more serious of the two but we won’t know more until Monday. Assuming Jenkins is done and has to go to the injured reserve and Taylor will be alright, here are the 14 players that could be cut by Tuesday.

This is all just a guess of course. Until the replacement for Jenkins is found guys like Alan Ball, and Asa Jackson likely live for at least another couple of days and get a shot on Thursday. If Jenkins is truly out for the season, expect the Cardinals to be calling other teams or watching the waiver wires.
Of those cut in this first go-round, the best candidates for the practice squad likely are Carlisle, Hartfield, Prater, and Zimmerman. Again, just a best guess.
