Cardinals pick off Jameis Winston twice

One way to get the Bucs offense off the field is to create turnovers.  Last week against the Patriots, the Cardinals created two turnovers.  They were both fumble recoveries.

The Cardinals have yet to pick off a pass in this young season.  That should change on Sunday afternoon against the Bucs.

Certainly the story would make a better one if safety Tyrann Mathieu were to get an interception of Bucs quarterback Winston on Sunday afternoon. Mathieu is returning from his second torn ACL last December.

Although he hadn’t deemed himself 100 percent yet, Mathieu has been out there.  He is going to give it another go on Sunday.

The Cardinals however are more than capable to have anyone on the defense come up big and pick Winston off.  Again the key to make it happening will likely come from more pressure, meaning blitz.

Also the Cardinals will need to continue zone coverage.  Going to a man-to-man coverage didn’t work out very well for them last week against the Patriots.
