Quarterback

The quarterback position will still be about Carson Palmer in 2017.  Some think he will or at least should retire after this season.  Why?  He’s healthy and can spend time mentoring a young quarterback for 2018 and beyond.

That means in order for that to happen, the Cardinals need to go out and get themselves a quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft.  Whether they get their guy in the first round or the fourth round, they need to look.

That doesn’t mean the Cardinals need to go pick up a quarterback for the sake of picking up a quarterback in the draft.  The Cardinals did that a couple of years ago with Logan Thomas.  How did that work out for them?

What the Cardinals should seriously consider though is trading up to put themselves into position to draft a quarterback earlier rather than later.  They are going to need a new starter within the next two years.
