David Johnson will be even better

Despite his injury on Sunday that abruptly ended his season three quarters too early, he got good news and should be fully healthy for the 2017 season.  He finished with 1,239-yards rushing and 879-yards receiving on 80 receptions.

On Monday Arians said Johnson could easily get 200-yards a game.  Many reporters in the room chuckled but he was serious.

If the Cardinals had the time and didn’t have other weapons to use, Johnson could push the 200-plus mark every week.  While I don’t believe he will accomplish that, he easily could eclipse what he did this season.

Some worry about his over use however he was never run down.  Some complained about him being used in a meaningless game on Sunday.  Well, this is football and Johnson was trying to help teammates.  This team never gave up and gave full effort until the very end.

Injuries happen in football.  Johnson dodged a big one on Sunday but that won’t make the Cardinals gun shy when it comes to using him 25-30 times a game in 2017.  He is only going to get better.
