Kenny Golladay, WR, Northern Illinois

Now that Larry Fitzgerald is returning and we got good health news on John Brown last week, the desperate need for a receiver doesn’t exist for 2017.  That still doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be thinking about their future.

What it does mean is that the Cardinals don’t need to go get their receiver in the first round.  They can go middle to late rounds to pick up a possible gem.  Kenny Golladay from Northern Illinois fits that bill.

He had a whopping 87-receptions for 1,156-yards and eight touchdowns in 2016. He also rushed 20 times for 192-yards and two touchdowns.

In 2015 he was just as good.  He had 73-receptions for 1,129-yards and 10 touchdowns. He is considered one of the more underrated receivers in the draft.  Even with those numbers he’s still considered a late-round possibility as cbsports.com has him projected as a fifth or sixth round choice.

The Cardinals could absolutely do worse this late in the draft.  Golladay would be a steal that late in the draft.
