Greg Zuerlein

2016 team: Los Angeles Rams

So many Cardinals fans want to see the team move on from Chandler Catanzaro.  Catanzaro struggled in 2016 but still made some clutch kicks as well.

There is no certainty the Cardinals are willing to move on from Catanzaro just yet.  One guy they could sign to come in and either compete or take his place is Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein.

Zuerlein was 19-22 in field goals last season.  He was a perfect 23-23 in extra points.

His nickname is “Greg the leg”.  He has a very strong leg.  He has made two 60-yarders in his career, so you lose nothing in that sense.

For his career Zuerlein is 112-141, a 79 percent clip.  Whereas Catanzaro for his career is 78-92, an 84 percent clip.

The difference could come down to extra points.  Zuerlein has missed two since it was moved back to the 33-yard line.  Catanzaro has missed nine in that timeframe.
