2. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys come to Arizona riding a three-game losing streak in Glendale.  That could all change in 2017 however with Dak Prescott at quarterback and Ezekiel Elliot at running back.

The two teams last met in 2014 in Arlington when the Cardinals defeated the Cowboys 28-14. Overall Dallas leads the longtime series 55-32-1.

This is the one game I worry about with opposing fans in the stadium.  There is a very large Cowboys fan contingent in Arizona and they usually show up in large numbers at the games.

This will be the first matchup though with David Johnson and Elliot.  They were considered the top two running backs in the NFC if not the NFL last season.

Don’t be surprised if this game also becomes a preview of a playoff matchup.  Dallas is looking to return to the playoffs after a disappointing one-and-done in the 2016 playoffs when they lost to the Packers in the NFC Divisional Playoff.
