8. Philadelphia Eagles

Speaking of cold weather games, here is another possibility with the Cardinals traveling east to face the Eagles.  The last two visits by the Cardinals have taken place in December.

The last time these two teams played was in Philadelphia not only in December but at night on national television.  The Cardinals handed the Eagles a 40-17 loss in what is widely considered as running back David Johnson’s coming out party.

This go around though the Eagles will have Carson Wentz at quarterback.  Wentz played well in the first quarter of his rookie season in 2016 but played much more like a rookie the rest of the way down the stretch.

The Eagles stayed pretty quiet for the most part in free agency.  They did however make a big splash on offense in signing receiver Alshon Jeffery.  He could really help Wentz’s game flourish in his sophomore season.
