In week fourteen, the Cardinals face a Titans team who might be ready to compete

The Tennessee Titans are among the darling teams going into the 2017 season. After years of middling-to-bad teams, they have begun to put things together. In 2016, they finished 9-7, their highest win total since 2011.

Tennessee’s resurgence has been led by quarterback Marcus Mariota and an offensive line that has been terrific. Thought they didn’t put up flashy numbers, they did a great job of avoiding mistakes, and let their defense work.

Like the other teams in the AFC South, the Cardinals haven’t played the Titans since 2013. The Arizona passing game will need to play well against a defense that did give up some yards last season. New inside linebacker Haason Reddick could find himself chasing Mariota a lot in this game.

The Titans run defense will prove tough on David Johnson, but the Cardinals might get some big plays through the air. The key will be containing Mariota in the pocket. Arizona 28 – Tennessee 20
