David Johnson has quickly become one of the league’s best running backs

This one is almost too easy. The Cardinals will feature a running game led by one of the best young players in the NFL. David Johnson was one of the highlights of the 2016 season, not just for the struggling Cardinals, but for the entire league.

Johnson was the 86th overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, and just the seventh running back taken. He made a lot of teams wish they’d chosen differently in 2016.

In his first season as the full-time starter, Johnson rushed for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns. He led the league in total yards and total touchdowns, and was one of the great stories of the season. With him controlling games, the Cardinals offense has a chance to thrive next season.
