1. Seattle Seahawks

Once again, the division is going to have to go through quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to make any waves in 2017.   Despite injuries early on and a stunning exit from the 2016 playoffs against the Atlanta Falcons, Wilson is still number one in the division.

His ability to scramble when healthy makes him dangerous.  He threw for 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with 4,219-yards passing in 2016.  There should be no complaints from Seahawks fans with numbers like that.

It was good enough to win the NFC West last season.  The question going into 2017, if Wilson goes down, will the backup situation be good enough to win?

They go with Trevone Boykin, second-year player out of TCU and Jake Heaps, second-year player out of Miami, as their backups.  There are no other quarterbacks currently on the roster.

So that begs the question, can Wilson stay healthy.  He still managed to play in all 16-games in 2016 despite nagging injuries that seemed to slow him down a little bit.

When healthy however, Wilson still is tops in the division whether we like it or not.  Palmer in Arizona has a chance to be better than Wilson statistically in 2017 but overall Wilson has more tools that can help his team win.
