TJ Logan has the ability to become a great special teams player for the Arizona Cardinals

The special teams for the Cardinals were anything but special in 2016. Maybe that was on their minds when they used a fifth round draft pick on TJ Logan.

Logan played running back for North Carolina, though he was a backup there. Despite this, he managed to get himself noticed for his quickness and big play ability. He made plays as a runner, a receiver, and as a return man in college. The Cardinals hope he does the same for them.

With Chris Johnson back in Arizona, Logan might not get much of a chance to contribute as a ball carrier. His size (5’9″, 196 lbs) also limits his potential as a running back.

The Cardinals have done a lot to address the special teams going into 2017. Drafting Logan was another step in that direction. He has the skillset that could make him a terrific kick returner, and he gets his first chance to show it this week.
