The Ugly

Carson Palmer and turnovers

The Arizona Cardinals can win ugly games.  This was one they could have gotten away with. However from the start, quarterback Carson Palmer never looked right.

It is hard to win football games turning the ball over.  Palmer gave the ball away three times on Sunday and quite honestly could have had three other passes picked.

It was capped by a 35-yard interception return by Lions safety Miles Killebrew in the fourth quarter to put a cap on the loss.  Palmer threw a touchdown late after that but by then it was too little too late.

David Johnson couldn’t hold on to the ball either.  He dropped the ball in the first quarter but receiver Jaron Brown got it back.  However he fumbled in the third quarter.  Not a good sign but hopefully a wrist injury wasn’t the reason.

So, for now, we’ll look at it as one bad game.  The Palmer bashing won’t come from here at this point.  Everyone has a bad day.  Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into a bad season.
