History

Anyone that has been a fan of the Cardinals over the years will tell you when there are seasons like the one that is shaping up, anything can happen.

The Seahawks aren’t dominant.  The Rams have gotten better but showed on Sunday they still have work to do as well.

The Cardinals won the NFC West at 9-7 in 2008.  Remember what happened that season?  Everyone was against them.  They weren’t a dominating team.

The Cardinals got blown out in a game in New England 45-7 and people were writing them off.  They said they couldn’t win in the playoffs given what we saw in the regular season.

It really doesn’t matter what their record is as long as they are in the postseason.  If they are the fourth seed as the division winner with the worst record, so be it.  Just make it there.

I know it may seem crazy to talk about all of this given where the Cardinals are right now but they have a lot of the same personnel and same issues they faced in 2014 when they went 11-5 and limped into the playoffs.

History should tell you to never give up.  There is always a chance as long as math tells you there is.
