Key injuries

Both teams injury lists this week have been lengthy.  The Cardinals as previously stated did get good news with both Boone and Humphries practicing in full on Friday and will play Sunday.

However there are four other defensive players for the Cardinals that are officially listed as questionable to play.  That includes cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Linebacker Karlos Dansby and defensive tackles Robert Nkemdiche and Corey Peters are also questionable for Sunday.  Only defensive tackle Olsen Pierre has been ruled out.

On the offensive side, tackle Jared Veldheer is the only listed questionable player.  He is likely a game time decision.

As for the Buccaneers, they have ruled out four players.  Linebacker Kwon Alexander, safety Josh Robinson, defensive end Ryan Russell, and safety Keith Tandy will not play on Sunday.

Four Buccaneers are also listed as questionable.  They include defensive end Robert Ayers, linebackers Lavonte David, center Ali Marpet, and safety T.J. Ward.

Prediction

This one could go either way.  It is cliche but the team that makes fewer mistakes should win on Sunday.  That includes not only in the turnover ratio but with penalties and missed tackles, both things that have plagued the Cardinals early in the season.

Let this be known, the Cardinals will not come out like they did last week.  They may not score a lot early but don’t expect them to fall behind 21-0 like they did last week.

Since they need it and they have new personnel, look for an inspired Cardinals team to come out and play competitive football.  They should win another close contest.
