The Good

Drew Stanton

Over the past 24 hours there has been a lot of talk about replacing Stanton with Blaine Gabbert. Not only because the feeling is the season is over, but because people are still blaming Stanton for Thursday night’s loss.

Stanton actually played pretty well.  If not for dropped passes he would have thrown for well over 300-yards.  As it was, he threw for 273-yards.  He did not turn the ball over.

Sure, he had some not so good looking passes but he isn’t perfect.  At times you have to wonder if that’s what people want?  There is no reason to turn over to Gabbert yet.  It may still happen but Stanton’s play Thursday night should be lauded, not roasted.

Pass Rush

Now, we know the Seahawks offensive line has bigger problems than the Cardinals and that’s saying a lot.  However, the Cardinals took advantage.  Smart teams do that.

The Cardinals accumulated five sacks of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.  In the past they’ve allowed Wilson to run out of a lot of those opportunities.  Yes, Wilson still scrambled out of some but for the most part, the Cardinals pass rush contained him.

Larry Fitzgerald

Amongst the receiver drops Fitz wasn’t immune on Thursday night.  However he was his usual self.  He caught 10 passes for 138-yards.  You can’t ask for much more from the future hall of famer.
