Arizona Cardinals vs Washington Redskins: TV/radio, preview, prediction
By Scott Allen
Key injuries
The newest injury news this week had the Cardinals sending running back Adrian Peterson to injured reserve. His season and likely time with the Cardinals is over. He had been sidelined the last two weeks with a neck injury.
Three other Cardinals have been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Receiver John Brown, who we also may not see again is out. Also out is guard Earl Watford and linebacker Gabe Martin.
The Cardinals also have three players questionable for Sunday. They include tight end Jermaine Gresham, and defensive linemen Josh Mauro and Corey Peters.
As for the Redskins, linebacker Zach Brown and safety Montae Nicholson have been ruled out. Seven Redskins are questionable for Sunday, including receiver Ryan Grant, defensive lineman Terrell McClain and tackle Trent Williams.
Prediction
Given the Cardinals history in Washington and in early window games, the easy pick is the Cardinals. However given how inconsistent both teams have performed this season, it has become increasingly difficult to predict what will happen.
Give the slight edge to the Redskins for being at home here. If the Cardinals can continue to keep a balance in their offense like they have been, then they should be able to keep it close.
Having just 28 points over the last two weeks though doesn’t lend itself to much confidence in the Cardinals being able to put enough points on the board. Redskins quarterback Cousins has 22 touchdown passes this season. Edge, Redskins.
