John Brown

You know what was hard to find when it came to John Brown?  A picture of him doing anything in 2017.

The reason for that is easy.  He hasn’t played much at all.  He’s played in eight games and started five of them.

He has just 19 receptions for 271-yards and two touchdowns this season.  That is quite a drop from the 39 receptions for 517-yards last season.  Even then Brown wasn’t producing enough.

Oft injured and under-performs on the field when he does get the opportunity.  We love Smokey but the early magic he had when drafted from small school Pittsburg State in Kansas has faded.

The Cardinals unfortunately may need to move on from Brown at this point.  They need better production out of their receivers.

At times you can hear the frustration from Arians when talking about Brown and whether he will play on certain weeks.  He knows Brown has the ability talent wise but if he isn’t able to play, then they need a receiver who can.
