Key injuries

The list for the Cardinals once again is very long.  Who knows who will be out there to play on Sunday.  As mentioned earlier, they could be without running back Kerwynn Williams.  He will be a game-time decision.

Also already ruled out is tight end Troy Niklas, guard Earl Watford, and linebacker Josh Bynes.  The loss of Bynes hurts particularly since his production has picked up in recent weeks.

The receiving core is bruised and beaten as well.  Chad Williams did not practice on Friday and is questionable.  John Brown and Larry Fitzgerald were on the injury report as well, though Fitz will play.  Brown is questionable.

As for the Giants, they will be without linebacker B.J. Goodson and receiver Tavarres King.  Safety Landon Collins and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul are both listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Both were limited in practice on Friday.

Prediction

With seven questionable players and three already ruled out, it will be tough to make a call on this one.  The Cardinals offense has been missing in action the last three weeks.  Now they deal with new injured reserve placements on receivers Brittan Golden and Carlton Agudosi.

Injuries were the theme for both of these teams in 2017.  Don’t look for a high-scoring affair.  It could come down to the kicking game, again.

Let’s hope though that Stanton can produce enough offense against a 2-12 team that had to fly across the country this weekend.  If they can’t punch it in the end zone this week, we may have seen the last touchdown the Cardinals will score this season.

The Cardinals should win.  A lot of things should have happened this season and they didn’t for one reason or another.  We’ll give them the win on Sunday.  Merry Christmas.
