James Bettcher

The only defensive coach to make this list, although the team may have a few others in mind as well.  A lot of people complained about Bettcher but in the end, his defense is what carried the Cardinals to victory in four of their last six games.

Bettcher would be the one defensive minded guy the Cardinals could get away with and lose nothing on the offensive side of the ball.  Even if he doesn’t get the head coaching gig, there is certainly hope amongst many other Cardinals fans that he would stay as the defensive coordinator.

There will be changes on defense but likely not as much as there will be on offense.  The Cardinals have some very good young talent on the defensive side of the ball that isn’t going anywhere.

Bettcher could also help retain some of the offensive coaches and continue what Arians started.  He could still mainly focus himself with defense.
