5. Palmer touchdown pass to J.J. Nelson in Seattle

We know the struggles the Cardinals had in 2016.  They finished 7-8-1.  They were 5-8-1 going into a Christmas Eve matchup against division rival Seattle Seahawks.  They also wanted to prove their tie game with them two months earlier was just a fluke.

It didn’t take long though for the Cardinals to start running all over the Seahawks.  They jumped out to a 14-0 lead on this moment.

Receiver J.J. Nelson caught an 80-yard pass from Palmer in stride.  It would have been only more beautiful had this game meant something as many thought it would before the season began.

What it was though was a great play made on both ends of the pass.  Nelson’s catch would become the longest reception at CenturyLink Field.

It set the tone for victory that afternoon, although the Seahawks did eventually come back to take a brief lead.  However, the Cardinals ended up winning the game 34-31 as time expired on a Chandler Catanzaro field goal.
