San Francisco 49ers (2)

The Cardinals have swept the season series from the 49ers each of the last three seasons.  The last San Francisco victory over the Cardinals was in 2014 when the Cardinals were left with Ryan Lindley as their quarterback.

However, the tide may be changing.  The 49ers have a head start on their future at quarterback with Jimmy Garoppolo.  He helped them win their last five games in 2017.

Garoppolo is officially 6-0 lifetime as a starting quarterback.  The first victory?  That would be against the Cardinals in the 2016 season opener in Glendale as a member of the New England Patriots.

That’s not to say the Cardinals won’t be able to win either or both games next season but these 49ers are improving.  If they handle their offseason needs properly, you may just see them finally beat the Cardinals for the first time in nearly four years. They came close in Glendale in 2017 without Garoppolo.
