Quarterbacks

First reaction when the Cardinals signed Sam Bradford was honestly not very positive from my perspective.  However after thinking about it, if he can remain healthy, and that’s a big if, this is a good move.

Bradford brings a veteran presence to the position.  It is a position the Cardinals almost certainly will be drafting in early in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Bradford’s accuracy is outstanding.  Unfortunately he has only played in two full NFL seasons thanks to multiple injuries.  We are going to have to wait and see how this one plays out.

Speaking of playing out, I won’t call this one a miss just yet.  As a backup, the Cardinals can do worse than Mike Glennon.  However he is not starter material.

From what was left in the crop of quarterbacks to chose from in the market, Glennon was the best choice for backup.  If history serves, we will likely get a chance to see him once or twice in the regular season.

If we don’t see Glennon after August, then likely things are going well for the Cardinals.  At the very least, he should be serviceable until the Cardinals get their rookie quarterback up to speed.  I’ll wait and see if that last statement though hold true before making a final judgement.
