Christian Kirk, Texas A&M

The local Phoenix-area product is a bit of a mixed bag. His size presents a little bit of an issue at 5-11.  That hasn’t stopped the Cardinals from drafting shorter receivers in the past (see John Brown).

What it does do though is possibly make the Cardinals think twice.  Taller receivers would be better.  Remember Fitz is 6’3 and will need to be replaced in maybe as soon as one year.

Still, Kirk is exciting to watch.  He’s got great speed and certainly can produce.  He had 234 receptions and 26 touchdowns over his career at Texas A&M.

Another possibility is Kirk helping out in the return game.  He was named to the All-SEC first team as an all-purpose player.

Plus he would certainly help the local fan base stay excited about the position.  In this case, you can’t overstate his overall value if he were to come to Arizona.

He is likely to be taken higher than many have him ranked, so the Cardinals may have to grab him in the second round if he is still available.  If he is there, this absolutely should be the guy.
