Jalen Tolliver

Not much to write home about with the receivers as a group overall, but here is a second receiver in this list that showed some promise.  Tolliver, out of Arkansas-Monticello has a huge uphill climb in his pursuit of a regular season job, made the biggest score of the night.

Tolliver, currently listed fifth on the depth chart behind third string Greg Little and fourth string Carlton Agudosi, had a 48-yard reception against the Chargers.  It was the longest pass play by far for the Cardinals on the evening.

He won’t make the team on one reception, but it was by far the longest reception of the evening for the Cardinals.  Now, he has our attention.

Embedded fifth on the depth chart on one side of the ball leaves him about eighth or ninth overall on the list of receivers.  This team is likely to keep five receivers.

He could move ahead of Agudosi in theory on the depth chart this week but he still has a lot of work to do.  Now he could be someone that has a shot at a practice squad spot.  At the very least, he gets himself on video for another team.
