Brandon Williams

I think we can safely say that the Brandon Williams experience has failed.  Missed tackles and just overall poor play were the theme again for Williams against the Chargers.

When you have a guy out in the open field coming right at you and you aren’t able to tackle the player, you don’t belong on the field.  Whether it is poor technique or just low talent, the fact is he isn’t getting the job done.

During his rookie season, I gave him the benefit of the doubt.  He was thrust into a starting spot due to injury.  That wasn’t his fault.

He had not been a cornerback for long at that point.  However now he is in his third season.  You’d hope to see at least some progression.

If anything there seems to be some regression, if that’s at all possible?  Williams is a liability on the field.

The Cardinals have other guys that can come take a back up spot in his place.  The guy in front of him on the depth chart Bene’ Benwikere played much better than he did against the Chargers.
