Budda Baker

Proving once again that maybe he should have been the first round pick instead of the second round choice in 2017.  However it ended up, he is earning his paycheck every week.

Baker had himself another nice day.  He had nine tackles on Sunday against the Vikings, however two of them were for losses.

He, like Jones, is always around the ball.  He teamed up with Jones on a defensive score on Sunday in the second quarter.

Jones stripped Cousins of the ball and Baker found the ball on the ground and ran it back for a 36-yard fumble return for touchdown.  It would have been easy to lose balance on the scoop or lose the ball in the process.

Baker did neither and outran the Vikings offense players, taking it the distance and tying the game at 10.  It was the last time the Cardinals were tied or in the lead on Sunday.

Next. Arizona Cardinals run over by the Minnesota Vikings. dark

Those are the types of plays the Cardinals are going to need to continue making in order to stay in games it appears while the offense figures things out.  Thank God for Baker.
