David Johnson

Early on Johnson had some nice runs but it still didn’t look much different.  Yes, there were a couple of runs to the outside but it still wasn’t clicking.

It certainly didn’t take long to notice the difference though.  Though he ended up with 16 carries and 59-yards, he was more involved in the passing game on Sunday.

That versatility was what the Cardinals and Cardinals fans were missing.  He caught four passes for 41-yards with a long of 15-yards in the victory.

The screen passes were missed over the first seven weeks.  Now that they’ve incorporated that back into the offense, maybe Johnson can get himself back on the track everyone expected him to be on.

We are still waiting for his first 100-yard rushing game but if Sunday was any indication, it is coming soon.  20 touches still don’t seem like a lot, so it will be interesting to see if that number continues to climb to 25-30 by the time the season is over.
