Arizona Cardinals Top 10 plays of 2018
By Scott Allen
6. Budda Baker fumble return
Baker was one of the guys that had his name called a lot this season. When healthy, Baker was always around the ball.
On this particular Sunday, the Cardinals were able to hang with the Minnesota Vikings for awhile, despite their running game being able to run against the Cardinals defense at will. It was just a 13-10 Vikings lead at halftime.
It was a play in the second quarter that defensive tackle Corey Peters made on Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins that got this game tied up. Peters knocked the ball loose and Baker scooped it up and ran 36-yards for the defensive score. That put the score at 10-10.
Unfortunately again after such a big play, it was really the last play the Cardinals made on either side of the ball to take advantage and gain momentum. It was the story of the season.
Baker’s day was huge though. He lead the Cardinals with 11 tackles against the Vikings, including two tackles for losses in addition to this defensive score.
