2. A first for Fitz

He had completed almost 15 seasons in the NFL at this point.  You thought we’d seen everything from Fitz there was to see.  Wrong.

Sure, Fitz had attempted, and completed, passes before this December Sunday afternoon.  With the Cardinals again struggling to put points on the board, this time against the Los Angeles Rams, a new statistic for Fitz to put up on his growing Hall of Fame resume.

He threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to running back David Johnson.  It was a thing of beauty, like this was what Fitz did on a weekly basis.

It would be the only touchdown of the day for the Cardinals.  It was the only touchdown the Cardinals scored against the Rams in two games in 2018.

Now the problem is, the Rams have seen it.  Would they do it again with or without Fitz depending on what he decides for 2019?

It was one of very few creative plays the Cardinals ran this season.  It was fun to talk about when it happened but yet another great play that in the end didn’t matter as the Cardinals lost this one 31-9.
