Arizona Cardinals adding OL Turner would be huge move

Offensive line is a huge need for the Arizona Cardinals this offseason
The Arizona Cardinals have identified that the offensive line was in dire straits last season. They are trying to do something about it.
If there was one area the Cardinals should address over all others this offseason it was the offensive line. With as injured and unproductive it was over the last two seasons, it was time to get serious about making some changes.
One possible change is bringing in guard Billy Turner, who has been with the Denver Broncos. Certainly he would know head coach Vance Joseph well.
One other guy he knows well? New Cardinals offensive line coach Sean Kugler. Kugler was the Broncos offensive line coach last season.
The move would be a nice compliment to the addition of tackle Marcus Gilbert last week. The Cardinals traded a sixth-round pick to get him from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Cardinals are in need of a guard with the likely departure of Mike Iupati. Turner is younger at 27 years old. He has played five seasons, the last 2-plus with the Broncos after starting his career with the Miami Dolphins.
Apparently Wilson was willing to come back to Denver but talks with the team broke off recently and now they are allowing him to go into free agency. I would not expect him to be on the market long.
His youth and size, at 6’5, 310, are both attractive, especially to offensive line hungry teams like the Cardinals. Mind you there are just reports the Cardinals are interested out there right now, nothing is imminent.
This would be the kind of the move though the Cardinals should focus on. Everyone wants a huge splash and wants the team to spend big money to bring a winner back to Arizona.
This is the way they need to do that though. Go pick up young veterans at a position you are most vulnerable at, where it is needed the most.
This isn’t who spends the most money wins. This is about being the smartest. This would be a smart pickup for the Cardinals.
