2. @Tampa Bay Buccaneers – week 11

We knew this one would be coming for awhile.  The Cardinals will have to wait until week 11 to face their former coach Bruce Arians.

Arians, who coached the Cardinals from 2013-2017, “retired” after the last game of the 2017 season and went into the CBS television booth.  That lasted all of a year.

So then he went and joined buddy Jason Licht, who is the Buccaneers general manager.  Licht helped bring Arians to the Cardinals in 2013 when he was vice president of player personnel.

Arians had mentioned during the 2018 season he would only be interested in returning to the league with the Cleveland Browns.  Clearly things changed and he ended up in Tampa.

Some fans felt slighted but most were just happy BA was where he wanted to be.  It did not seem there was any love loss between the Cardinals and Arians, although the Cardinals fought to get a draft pick from the Bucs as compensation since they still owned his rights.
