Mike Glennon

We still don’t know what Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock are doing with the Oakland Raiders.  That may be the key however for Mike Glennon finding himself in a better situation than what he had with the Cardinals.

Glennon spent one season in Arizona and got little playing time as a backup to both Sam Bradford and Josh Rosen. Now he has a great chance to be the primary backup to starter Derek Carr.

As quickly as we’ve seen things unfold at times with the Raiders, there is a good chance Glennon finds some playing time.  His competition for the backup role is with Nathan Peterman.

The Cardinals decided to move on from Glennon long before any decision was made on keeping Rosen or drafting Kyler Murray.  They opted to sign Brett Hundley instead.

Next. Rosen still hasn't heard from Keim. dark

Even though he is going to be paid considerably less with the Raiders, for now, he may find himself with a better chance to play if things go downhill for Carr this season.  For now, he’ll have to settle as a backup for $1.9 million this season.
