J.T. Smith

He’s been kind of the forgotten man as he played wingman to Roy Green.  Green is already in the team’s ROH.  While Green was fantastic, Smith gave a lot to this franchise as well.

Smith played for the Cardinals from 1985-1990.  He lead the NFL in receiving in 1987 with 91 receptions for 1,117-yards.  Both were tops in the NFL that season.

Starting his career in 1978, he came over to the Cardinals where he had two 1000-yard receiving seasons in 1986 and ’87.  He was just shy of the 100-yard mark in 1988 with 986-yards.  He wasn’t a huge touchdown scorer, he scored 27 of his 35 career touchdowns in his six seasons with the franchise.

He made a lot of big grabs though.  He had two huge ones on the final drive in the comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers in 1988, to win 24-23, a game the Cardinals trailed 23-10 in the fourth quarter.
