#91 Johnny Johnson

Here is a running back we’d thought would be around for a while as well.  He was drafted by the Cardinals in 1990 and was a great producer from the beginning.

He played in 14 of 16 games his rookie season.  He finished the season just under the 1000-yard mark with 926-yards rushing.

He made the Pro Bowl in his rookie season.  Given he was able to do it in less than a full season was something.  If he had played the full 16 game schedule, he likely would have eclipsed the 100-yard mark.

He had five touchdowns for the Cardinals in 1990. He was also a member of the 1990 NFL All-Rookie Team.

He also  contributed another four in 1991 and six in 1992, his last season in Arizona before moving on to the New York Jets.

In his three seasons in Arizona, he also caught 68 passes and scored two touchdowns.  After two relatively good seasons with the Jets, he was done after the 1994 season.
