#43 Jim Bakken

Bakken kicked for the St. Louis Cardinals for 17 seasons from 1962 until 1978.  He lead the NFL in field goals made in 1964 with 25 and also in 1967 with 27.

He made the Pro Bowl in four seasons, 1965, ’67, 1975 and 1976.  He lead the NFL in field goal percentage each of the ’65 and ’67 seasons.  He punted in ’65 and 1966 as well.

Bakken ended his career going 282-447 in his career, a 63.1 percentage.  He was 534-553 in extra points for his career.

Another stat that stood out for Bakken was in ’67 when he lead the NFL in scoring with 117 points. He scored 1,380 points over his career.

He made the Pro Football Hall Of Fame All-1960’s Team.  He was on their Second Team All-1970’s team.

He made Sporting News 1st team All-Pro in ’67, ’68, ’75, and ’76.  Pro Football Weekly and UPI named him to their 1st Team All-Pro in ’75 and ’76.
