Kyler Murray

Naturally the biggest reason the game is on national television Thursday night live is for Murray, the number one overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.  Murray will not play long though.

Kingsbury mentioned in his press conference this past weekend he would see how Kyler feels in-game to determine how long he plays.  Spoiler, it won’t be more than a series or two.

Kingsbury said it could be three snaps, it could be 10-12.  He isn’t necessarily looking at number of series.  If Murray feels good after the first series, that could be it.

Murray has shown everything we’ve expected so far in camp.  Now it is time to put it into game action.  Just the mere fact he is finally going to be out on the playing field for the first time is excitement enough.

If he makes a mistake on Thursday, he makes a mistake.  This is the time of year you want him to work the kinks out.
