The final stretch

The Cardinals will return home on December 1st to face the Rams.  This one is pretty much a gimme to the division leaders.

Look, would we love seeing the Cardinals beat the Rams?  Absolutely.  We are trying to be realistic here though.  Things can change, but this one still smells like defeat.

Then they are at home the following two weeks as well, three straight home games for the Birdgang. Games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns close out the home portion of the schedule in 2019.

The Steelers just lost quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the season with an elbow injury.  The Browns do have a potent offense with guys like Baker Mayfield at quarterback and Odell Beckham Jr. at receiver.  Their defense is stout as well.

However the struggled in week one and because it was the New York Jets, didn’t look all that great against them either.  However they did make big plays when they had to and that’s the most worrisome.

The final two weeks are on the road at the Seahawks and the Rams.  There is no sugar coating here, it will be rough.  Then again, Seattle is another place somehow the Cardinals have proven they feel comfortable in.

They almost beat the Seahawks last year before falling on a last second field goal in the 2018 season finale.  Maybe history repeats itself only this time the Cardinals get the game winner?  Why not, it happened in 2017.
