The eye test

There are people that do believe in both coaches, Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury and Bengals coach Zac Taylor.  However there aren’t many.

Take a couple of plays from each game and you can make a case where the tide goes the other way for the Cardinals.  Week 1 is not a tie if Tramaine Brock doesn’t drop an almost sure interception at the end of overtime.

Week 2 the Cardinals had a chance to take the ball down the field in the fourth and take the lead against the Baltimore Ravens.  Week 3 the Cardinals scored first and fast.  Halftime adjustments did them in.

Then in week 4, the Cardinals held the Seahawks offense to 1 score in the second half. The early interception return for touchdown by Seahawks defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney set the tone for the afternoon.

Despite that and 2 missed field goals by Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez, they were down just 20-10 with still 10 minutes to go in the game.  We all know what happened after that.

Did anyone watch the Bengals-Steelers on Monday night? They didn’t look good at all.  They looked like a team going through the motions.  Dropped passes, poor offensive line blocking, nothing going right.

Not that the Cardinals have been much better but to the eye test, it appears the Cardinals have a chance to win Sunday.  Of course that means they will go out and get blown out because well…that’s how the Cardinals roll sometimes.
