Penalties

It felt like every time a positive thing happened for the Cardinals on Sunday, it was negated by a penalty.  They had 12 penalties for 96-yards against the Bengals.

Over the previous 4 games, the Cardinals had a total of 7 penalties against the Detroit Lions, 8 penalties against the Baltimore Ravens, 7 penalties against the Carolina Panthers, and 7 penalties against the Seattle Seahawks.

To see them regress to 12 penalties against a bad Bengals team was rather disappointing.  It was a mix of penalties that hurt them on Sunday as well.

Roughing penalties, illegal man down field, holding, false starts.  They pretty much covered the field on them against the Bengals.

They got away with them on Sunday because it was the Bengals.  Once they start playing better teams like the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, they will have to fix those things in order to just give them a chance to pull off victory.
