Getting to the quarterback

On Sunday the Cardinals defense only got to Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton once.  The lone sack came from linebacker Chandler Jones.

They did get to Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in week 4 a total of 4 times but that was created more out of situation than any natural ability. But, they did get to him 4 times.  They found ways.

They easily could have had more on Sunday.  Are the Cardinals not physical enough?  Maybe the Cardinals defense just isn’t that good.

With guys like Jones, Terrell Suggs, Corey Peters, Jordan Hicks, and Rodney Gunter, they should be getting to the quarterback more. They got to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson twice and Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen twice.

Next. 3 things that worked well for Cardinals vs Bengals. dark

Nothing a trend?  The defense needs to be better overall.  They are making some stops but not enough.  Sunday should have been a blown out but in the end it was just a 3-point victory.
