Byron Murphy
He didn’t have a perfect day. No one on the Cardinals defense had a super great day but Murphy stepped up the most when needed.
He is still learning and that can be seen. But the kid can play and came up big time a couple of times on Sunday afternoon.
Murphy had 6 tackles with officially 1 pass defensed. One of his tackles went for a loss. Murphy is a man that is all over the field.
It would be difficult to see him not continue to get significant playing time even after the return of Patrick Peterson next week. Peterson’s return will be welcome but Murphy has been exciting to watch and could end up being at Peterson’s level of play sooner rather than later.
Next. Cardinals dodge bullet, beat Falcons. dark
The key for Murphy will be to continue to improve on the things he needs to work on. He’s a smart player. The Cardinals made the right choice taking him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
