Alan Ritchson
Ritchson also fits the mold for playing Warner. He maybe is a better fit than Teller for the part. He looks more like a football player.
He stands at 6’2, same as Warner and just turned 35. Being 35 gives an advantage to playing both slightly younger and slightly older.
He is known for his work on the television series Titans and also in the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He does have experience playing football on screen in the series Blue Mountain State and in the follow up film to the series, Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland. Blue Mountain State is about a midwestern college football powerhouse.
While not a household name, Ritchson appears like he would bring some authenticity to the role, something the Warners’ will likely be looking for. It’s probably a long shot on this possibility but still worth a thought or two anyway.
