Leki Fotu, DT, Utah

There were calls from Cardinals fans to grab defensive linemen as well.  Not many saw Fotu coming or if they did, they didn’t say anything.

However Fotu is a very good pick here given who was available.  Maybe they reached a tiny bit taking him earlier than most projected.  However remember those are just projections.

Fotu played on a very good Utah Utes defense.  He had 82 tackles over the last three years, with 17 of those for a loss.

His size and quickness off the snap are his strengths.  Scouting reports are fairly consistent with his concern in the pass rush.  He plays better in the run game.

In the end though, those that follow Utah and Pac-12 football seem to like this guy and are happy the Cardinals selected him in the fourth round.  Another one we will have to wait and see with to see if he fits in Joseph’s defensive scheme or not.
