On defense: Chandler Jones, Patrick Peterson, Jordan Hicks, Corey Peters.

For those surprised to see Corey Peters on this list, you shouldn’t be. Peters has been a team captain three years in a row now dating back to the 2018 season. His important in the middle of that defensive line shouldn’t be overlooked, as he’s been a very consistent player on a not very consistent defense for years now.

Jordan Hicks was a Pro Bowl snub in 2019, his first year with the Cardinals. He racked up 149 tackles which was good for third most in the NFL. Hicks was able to clean up mistakes made by a shaky defensive line and provide stability to the middle of the defense. As the signal caller of the defense, it’s no surprise to see him voted as a captain.

For the fifth time since being drafted in 2011, Patrick Peterson earned a “C” on his jersey. 2019 was the most inconsistent he’s been in his career, but after a strong offseason the Cardinals expect a motivated Pat P to return to Pro Bowl form and lock up opposing teams number one targets.

Chandler Jones is now a three-time captain, terrorizing Quarterbacks for the Cardinals in the desert. Since coming to Arizona in 2016, no player in the NFL has more sacks than Jones (60). Definitely worth the second round pick we sent to Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

On top of the All-Pro level play, Jones is an awesome contributor to the community. From donating meals to food banks, preaching anti-bullying policies at schools, to communicating with lawmakers on how to improve the state, Jones is a stand up dude. The Cardinals are lucky to have him.
